Why Fulcrum
As a partner and co-founder, we started Fulcrum in 2000 after OnTarget sold to Siebel Systems. The CEO and I, as the COO, took our own money and that of partners, friends, and families and invested in one-off deals. We had some success and were able to formalize Fulcrum into a fund.
Fulcrum stands out because of how entrepreneur-friendly we are. All of the partners have operating experience, which means we’ve been on the other side of the table and dealt with the same issues the entrepreneurs are managing. This helps us provide experience to them and add value to their companies beyond a capital investment.
Outside Fulcrum
I have been fortunate to be involved with a number of valuable organizations. I am on the Board of Invest Georgia, State of Georgia investment program to mentor and grow current, new and future VC/PE funds in the State. I am also on the Board of the Southern Capital Forum and the screening committee for Southeast Investor Group. I am on the board of the Metro Atlanta Chamber, Leadership Ministries, Skyland Trail (chair the Investment Committee), and the Sigma Chi Foundation (Vice Chair). I am a member of the Rotary Club of Atlanta, the Association for Corporate Growth, and the Society of International Business Fellows. I also participate in the annual High Tech Prayer Breakfast.
